What is the permanence of mechanical energy ?

1 Answer

Answer :

The sum of the kinetic and potential energy of a system is always constant when only the conservative force acts in a system. That is, kinetic energy + potential energy = constant explanation: If a conservative force acts on a system , then the mechanical power of that system is preserved. In that case the sum of the kinetic energy and potential energy of the system i.e. the mechanical constant. If the kinetic energy of the system decreases , then the potential energy increases and if the potential energy decreases, then the kinetic energy increases. But there is no change in their totality.
