If we give thanks for the blessings of Allah till the Day of Resurrection, it will not be possible to give thanks for one of His blessings. Allah Ta'ala has given us innumerable treasures of innumerable blessings. It is the duty of the servant to always be grateful to Allah for the blessings He has bestowed upon him and to protect him from calamities . Allah Ta'ala has said in the Holy Qur'an , " And Allah has brought you forth from your mother's womb knowing nothing. He has created for you hearing , sight and heart so that you may give thanks." (Surat an-Nahl , Ayat No. 8) All these powers are bestowed by Allah Almighty so that man may use these limbs in such a way as to please Allah. With it he will obey and worship Allah. That is the gratitude of Allah's grace. In the hadith narrated in Qudsi , Allah the Almighty said , " The most beloved of all the things by which my servant attains nearness to Me is that which I have made obligatory upon him. And when I begin to love him , I become his ear , with which he hears , with his eyes , with which he sees , with his hand , with which he grasps , with his foot , with which he walks. ( Bukhari , Kitabur Rikbak) Some people misinterpret this hadith to mean that the saints of Allah possess the power given by Allah. However , the clear meaning of the hadith is that when the servant is devoted to the worship and obedience of Allah . Yes , then every action of his is done for the pleasure of Allah. He listens with his ears and sees with his eyes only that which is permitted by Allah. No , it is only used in obedience to Him, and it is the greatest means of giving thanks.
