In verse 31 of Surah An-Nisa 'it is said :(31) " O you who believe , if you keep away from the great sins which are forbidden , then Allah will cover your minor sins and give you a place of honor." (4:31) What is understood from this verse is that there are two kinds of sin in the sight of Allah . Firstly, minor sins and secondly, major sins. Of course, it is clear that sin , big or small, is a very dirty and disgusting act that contradicts God's command. According to the consequences of sin and the extent of its evil, sin can be divided into minor and major sins . The characteristics of these sins have been explained in detail in various hadiths and narrations. The greater the scope of the sin and the greater the sin that harms people , family and society, is called the greater or uglier sin. If a common man commits a minor sin, it is considered a minor sin. But even if a big personality or a leader like a leader of millions of people commits even a small sin, it is considered as a big sin because it is responsible for confusing many people. All in all , in this verse Allah is merciful saying that if people stay away from major sins then I will ignore their minor sins and forgive them and give them a place in heaven. The instructive aspects of this verse are , firstly, that Allah will forgive the minor sins of the people. So we should also forgive the petty crimes of others , not be cynical about petty crimes. Second: If the principles of our actions and thoughts are correct , then Allah will forgive us our minor sins before we repent. Thirdly, we should refrain from any kind of aggression on human dignity , wealth and life and abide by the provisions of Allah.
