Many people swear by cows , goats or other animals for the purpose of a pir or mazar when they are in danger , to fulfill a special wish , to cure a disease , for mothers and sisters to have children. Many people get more and more inclined towards these by getting benefits in this way , they don't want to hear or understand about Islam anymore , they just stay with that pir or shrine. After that you will go every year , you will come with money and cows and goats, you will do Urs , you will put sheets in the shrine etc. Let's find out what Islam says about swearing an animal in the name of a pir or shrine. Ali (R) said , I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say - "Whoever slaughters an animal for any purpose other than Allah, the curse of Allah be upon him , the curse of Allah be upon the one who gives shelter to a scholar , the one who curses his parents. " The curse of Allah is upon him who curses , and the curse of Allah is upon him who changes the mark or boundary of the land. ”Sahih Muslim. Does anyone keep shirk or run after worldly gain by blasphemy? If no one went to the shrine and got anything, then no one would pay for the shrine or slaughter the castrated chickens. Do they stay away from shirk ? The point is that magic can harm people, but magic is blasphemy, profiteering can be profitable, but usury is a grave sin. That's Sherek. Whether it is a deed or not , Islam forbids this deed and calls it shirk because by doing so the person's faith , trust and devotion goes from Allah to that shrine or pir which is a major shirk. And living or dead, no pir or shrine has any power to fulfill desires or to remove danger , in fact they are in danger in the grave , how can they benefit others ? These are shirk beliefs which worship the blind devotion of ignorant Muslims. May Allah protect our faith.
