This may sound obvious, but checking the Open Access Journals (DOAJ) directory is a great way to start your paper submission process. Here, you can check the open access status of a particular journal as well as browse the directories by subject and search for other journals related to your research paper. Note that hybrid journals are not covered in DOAJ, which is limited to pure open access journals that are published under the permissible Creative Commons license.
