After cutting saplings, how do I keep them from growing back?

Answer :

try full strength vinegar, if those that not work....maybe you could let them grow 10 inches and pull them out...or if you use a product from lawn & garden that kills tree roots.  Be cause with the chemicals, keep children & pets away from that area.
