one branch on my cranberry viburnum is dying; any ideas?

sounds like something trying to lay eggs...........I just leaves off all the time in the garden, I carry a plastic bag from the store and cut snip them off.  you could wait for the sun to go down and the plant to cool off and mix up 1 qt tap water & 2 tablespoons of dawn and spray.............spray again after a rain................anything will move on...........
