What size cage should I get for my Syrian hamster?

I just brought home a Syrian hamster from the pet store. He came with a cage, but it seems a bit small to me. What size cage should he be in?

Answer :

Syrian hamsters are active little creatures and need lots of space. Minimum recommended cage size is 30 cm. x16 x 16. Of course, larger is better. Be careful when housing 2 or more together. They are known to get into fights that can turn very nasty.
