answer:Snow has melted but the ground is still frozen. My gardening friends (here in zone 4 B- 5) will be starting peas and lettuce as soon as they can get a shovel into the soil. And some are putting seeds in little flats inside. Where are you writing from? I have some forsythia that I forced..it is in bloom inside in a deep clear blue vase and very heartening. Herons, canada geese, bluebirds, red-winged black birds are back, altho no singing yet. Tips of wild yellow and blue flag and marsh marigolds peeping thru the soil.
