Description : How come the moderators a so fast to moderate a question yet so slow to "unmoderate" it once rectified?

Last Answer : [mod says] Because we all have other jobs that require our undivided attention. The pending questions pop up intermittently, but it isn’t like we jump, immediately, when they arrive. We get more than 300 email notices per day. Imagine getting and reading that many emails. We’re trying our best.

Description : Mods: share some of your experiences with us from the dark side?

Last Answer : It's not at all what I was promised. We're prevented from eating for days at a time so we'll keep our edge . And then Augustlan won't let us play with the hot pincers and ... But it is awfully fun swatting down questions at random and ignoring the plaintive little pleas for explanations (snort).

The user agent string would (hopefully, if they knew what they were doing) make the bot appear to be a normal user, and it would post at a rate that would make it appear to be human. ... ban them , it's more about looking to say this user posts garbage, so we should ban them .

Yahoo answers isn't to my taste, several of the others I found in searches are no longer up...is Fluther the best Quora alternative? The layout is ok, but it seems pretty slow compared to Quora.

Last Answer : At some point, you need to look more critically at the common denominator and less at others. If you are still blaming others at your age, Fluther may be uncomfortable for you. Or comfy, considering all of the youth.

Description : Why would a question that is obviously spam be left in place by the moderators?

Last Answer : answer:Well, see yes, it is. But it is a ask-publicite trap. It attracts other spammers who might think they can pitch their own product to help solve the problem .
