Ouch. I’ve done that before; hate when that happens. Um. I assume she hasn’t saved an older version of the Word file somewhere else, like a Flash drive? Other than that, there is a small chance Word may have a temp file of it hidden somewhere. I know when my computer has crashed in the middle of writing a Word document, the program prompts me asking me if I want to keep any of the versions it had recently autosaved. However it usually deletes the other files after you choose which one you want. I have no idea where it stores this file information, though. Good luck to your friend! I hope it wasn’t their term paper.
