I can see where it would be a good thing for popular movies that have a series going on. For instance, you’d never have to worry about Harrison Ford getting old if you had a good CGI version of him and someone that could sound like him and were in the market for a new Indiana Jones movie. Movies might be cheaper to make and easier on the actors if there’s no costuming and make up involved. Or set building.
