Would you say that due to the narrative nature of Fluther, you are inclined to be more open on certain subject matters than you would in everyday life?

1 Answer

Answer :

I think the capacity for anonymity that the Internet offers probably provides an opportunity for some people to be more open and expressive with their feelings knowing they probably won’t ever meet their intended audience in real life. Additionally, presenting a subject to such a large group of people would virutally guarantee that at least someone will have knowledge of what you’re talking about and could relate to you or assist you somehow. I’ve found myself being more open on Fluther, on occasion, about certain topics because I’ve found that there is a significantly profound knowledge and experience base amongst many different Flutherites that I have corresponded with for quite a long time. I’ve come to respect and appreciate their answers and help and friendship more and more as time goes on.
