answer:20 pounds?!! In 5th grade at a PTA auction, I won a chance to be teacher for a day and I got to do it. That was fun. :) Haven’t participated in an auction in a while…last year my parents auctioned off a couple weekend trips at our Tahoe home for another school-related auction. People from school that I knew, but was not really “friends” with stayed there and saw my baby pictures up on the wall and stayed in my room and…man, that was bizarre… :P

I worked at an auction, not the highfalutin snobby type, and everyone who wanted to bid was given a paddle with a number on it, so unless the ... spotters saw a numbered paddle waved they did not see any movement no matter how deliberate as a legal bid.

It places my bid at the last possible moment to help prevent the price being jacked up.I don't know if you can ... are bidding on car auction sites. You still risk being outbid but I have a pretty good success rate.
