Oh, who the bloody hell knows? I get a lot of grief from people because I never liked an extremely popular TV show that stopped airing a few years ago. When people ask me “What was your favorite episode” I answer that I never got into it, and often am accused of “not getting it” in an angry way. I “got” it, I just didn’t like it. I don’t care that so many did, but I’ve been accused of having no sense of humor, or of judging them. OK, rant over, to answer your Q, I think people just think you are judging them harshly for liking something that you don’t.
