Answer :

You definitely do not have to write all in text speak! I don’t, and neither do most of the people I text. I’ll throw in ‘lol’s and whatnot occasionally, but the only time I abbreviate (‘u’ for ‘you’) is if I’m out of characters, have already deleted unnecessary punctuation marks, and don’t want to send two texts instead of one.
