answer:If your brother has been a danger to himself (drinking until he threw up in bed) or others (punching and biting at 18) there is usually a law by which you can do an involuntary commitment for a period of time (48 hours or something). He could be tested then. I am not saying that this is desirable. It would be much better to talk to him about it. Have him look into the condition. It might make him feel better to have a name for how he feels (different from others). Then have him seek diagnosis.
