What do you think of the Buddhist concept that "delusions are the source of all unhappiness in the world"?

1 Answer

Answer :

answer:I’m not a Buddhist, and I can’t pretend to understand the religious overtones of the statement, but it seems horribly simplistic and rather silly as a concept. First, an adage that uses the term “all” seems overly broad. But the real problem to me is that delusions are ‘blamed’ for unhappiness. It raises the questions of – who is being deluded – why are there delusions – where are these coming from? – why can these not be refuted? So I have issues conceptually with the implications of the statement.
