answer:Wow. I hadn’t heard that! You know, YIM is the only messenger that I remember using. As in, I think I might have used the one or two others, but not enough to even remember? YIM was freaking awesome in its day! I chatted for hours there, and I think it was my first experience of chatting with actual, live, international people. The wonder of being able to chat with a total stranger, real time, in, say Europe/Asia/Africa. About what they ate for dinner or that they were grieving over the loss of a loved one. Ah. The memories. Yahoo was so much freaking potential wasted. It’s like losing a loved one that I’ve grown apart from over the decades.
