I am a practitioner of what I call “consistency of self.” Basically, whatever I would share with you face to face is exactly what I would share with you online, anonymously or not. Same goes for my personality, my opinions, etc. I am the same me no matter where me happen to be. I think to do otherwise is cowardly and/or deceptive quite frankly. This does not, however, discount the idea of “time and place”, meaning you converse with certain people certain ways out of respect or appropriateness.
