The last big disaster was a few years ago when I poured hot oil into a glass bowl and it shattered all over the counter spewing oil everywhere! What-a-mess! It never crossed my mind the bowl couldn’t handle it, clearly it could not. My most recent disaster was in my living room a few days ago when I was working on gift bags for a horse show and had poured a tall glass of **** to enjoy while I was working. I was sitting on the floor on my lovely, newer, throw rug and got up to go out to the garage and get more supplies. I consciously made a mental note to myself to be careful to not kick my glass over and then, what did I do? Yep, walked back in and kicked my full glass of **** all over my rug and other supplies! I was so damn mad! Took me about 20 minutes to sop it all up, wash my rug down, wipe off my sample bags. What a freaking disaster! I also, once, years ago, spaced out and reached into the over to remove a glass baking dish of chicken breasts with my bare hands! Forgot to put on the over mitts. It was like a cartoon moment I imagine if someone had been filming the moment. I stood there for about 2 seconds until I realized my hands were burning and then dropped and shattered the entire baking dish on the kitchen floor! :-/ I was lucky I didn’t sustain serious burns.
