This has got to be one of fluther’s best ever questions. I am a strong believer that schools need more than just some safety bill to improve. I believe they need total restructuring; physically and academically. It isn’t done for the simple fact the undertaking would be such a huge task, nobody wants to tackle it. We take an unbelievably archaic approach to educating our future adults. Social studies should involve responsible usage of social media, techie trends, current contraversies, etiquette to be observed in foreign countries. Buildings need to be designed to maximise safety. Staff treat students like inmates in most classes of many schools. Students need a sense of security, caring, belonging. Staff should set the example. There is more, but I will save that for my address to Congress. I don’t need a celebrity to present for me.
