Who has the time anymore to cook a whole artichoke the proper way? Leaving them in a pot for hours to soften up, stuffing them with breadcrumbs and cheese etc. This fake-out recipe uses artichoke hearts and all the stuffing flavors but in half the time.First, defrost onepackage plain, artichoke hearts. Cook according to package’s directions. Microwave directions are super fast! Next, place a few garlic cloves in a dry pan. Cook until golden brown. Remove from pan and chop. In the same pan, pour 1 tablespoon of oil and mix in 3 tablespoons of pre-seasoned breadcrumbs. Heat over low flame, turning so that all bread crumbs become toasted. Mix all ingredients in a dish with the warmed artichokes. Sprinkle cheese on top. Serve immediately. *Lemon wedges optional.
