Ladder for home. What to look for when choosing?
Twenty years ago, the dream of a two-story house seemed unrealizable to most Russians, but today individual construction is gaining momentum every day. The final design touch in the interior of a country house is the staircase, which is a rather complex architectural structure. She must be:
comfortable so that, going up and down a hundred times a day, family members do not get tired;
from environmentally friendly materials;
safe for small children;
compact so as not to occupy half of the room;
beautiful, so as not only to fit into the interior, but also to serve as its decoration;
as cheap as possible.
Choosing a ladder begins with determining the material that will be used in its manufacture. Today they use for this:
brick,
a rock,
glass,
concrete,
metal,
tree.
Brick stairs are more often built in the open air, but if the style of the house allows, then a brick staircase can look harmonious, or it can simply become the basis for a fashionable coating. The cost of such a ladder is quite affordable.
A marble or granite staircase looks luxurious, but is more suitable for a garden or for decorating the front door of a house. It can be located inside, if there are other stone elements in the interior. The stone staircase is easy to maintain, the variety of colors, textures and shapes allows you to make it exclusive, and everything unique is expensive.
More recently, especially durable glass has been used for the manufacture of stairs. It gives the structure a light, graceful look, and the interior decoration of the house - an ultra-modern look. Such a staircase can be complemented by an openwork metal railings. She will not be cheap, it will be difficult to take care of her, in general, the problems are the same as with a beautiful woman.
Concrete stairs will cost quite cheaply, and even in shapes and designs they can be varied, but visually they will always remind of a public entrance. Usually they are built as a basis for finishing with high-quality modern materials.
The metal staircase is durable, but in terms of aesthetic qualities it is inferior to the most popular wooden samples, therefore it is more often used in utility rooms.
Wooden stairs bring natural warmth, light and smell into the house; they can be made in any style and have a unique design. Textures and shades of wood allow you to choose the right solution for your home interior, and modern impregnations and varnishes will make the stairs durable and even brighter and more fun.
Ladder designs are infinitely varied, but the main solutions come down to several types:
mid-flight stairs, consisting of steps and beams assembled into a single block (flight), can be single- or multi-flight, they are convenient, but take up a lot of space and are not always safe;
spiral and spiral staircases are the most compact and save space in the house, but they are more difficult to climb, and a spiral staircase is not entirely safe;
straight stairs are the simplest and most affordable, but not the safest, and, moreover, take up a lot of space;
with variable step (butterfly ladders).
It is customary to design stairs with intermediate platforms and turns for safety, since these structural elements limit its speed and distance when falling.
Among the main types of stairs, varieties are distinguished depending on the method of supporting the steps:
on bowstrings, when the steps are attached between the support boards (bowstrings);
on kosura, when the support is carried out on the boards (kosoura) from above;
on the bolts, when the steps are attached to the balusters with large bolts;
suspended, consisting of steps, which on one side rest on the wall, and on the other, are suspended on vertical rods.
The simplest standard sizes of a typical solid pine staircase will cost an average of 45 thousand rudders. Ordering a staircase with an individual design and a unique design costs from 150 to 300 thousand rubles.
The combination of materials, designs and artwork gives an endless variety of options.
