Any resort located on the seaside is sure to offer tourists such fashionable entertainment as diving or snorkeling. But, this option is more for beginners than for professionals. Experienced divers are well aware that there are not so many ideal diving sites on the planet. In this article we will try to tell you about the most worthy of them.
Maldives
Most of the local entertainment, one way or another, is associated with the sea, so for a diver, it is better to think of a place. In the Maldives, the main priority is the safety of tourists, so the staff of any diving center undergo monthly training, and the depth of diving for inexperienced divers is carefully monitored.
On some islands there are hotels focused specifically on diving, for example Kurumba Village, on the territory of which there is a scuba diving school. This place is ideal for those who want to learn all the subtleties of diving.
Both day diving safaris and night dives are popular in the Maldives. During the day, tourists are offered an entertainment program, during which they spend time on the deck of the yacht, diving several times in different places. In the late afternoon, you can visit the uninhabited island for a barbecue with self-caught fish. Alternatively, snorkel and snorkel along the shores of the island. Snorkeling in these places will bring a lot of unforgettable impressions.
After sunset, the underwater world is completely transformed - starfish bloom like exotic flowers, fish change color, and the reefs studied during the day become islands full of mysteries and secrets.
Sipadan
This island is a legend, and every diver pronounces its name with a breath. Not everyone manages to visit there - the trip costs a lot of money, but it will also bring a lot of impressions. Sipadan is an extinct ancient volcano located northeast of the coast of Borneo, which has long been overgrown with whole colonies of coral. The small island looks like a tourist paradise - a chain of white beaches, tropical thickets and the scorching sun. But just a few meters from the coast there is a unique object - a steep reef wall going down to a depth of almost 700 meters.
Diving here you can see the unique beauty of the underwater world - huge schools of parrot fish, barracudas and eels lead their measured life here. They simply do not notice the divers, so you can watch the inhabitants of the depths for hours. Literally at arm's length you can find more than a dozen turtles or clown fish.
Palau
The serene ocean, striking with the depth of its blue waves, the emerald green of dense tropical forests and the almost complete absence of people - this is a diving paradise called Palau. This tiny republic has the main asset - a unique underwater world, which is one of the seven underwater wonders of the world according to CEDAM International, one of the most reputable diving organizations.
About 700 species of fish, leopard sharks, several species of turtles, octopuses, unique black coral trees, an incredible number of crabs and even several species of completely exotic marine animals, it is simply impossible to find a name for which in Russian - all this is Palau.
Galapagos Islands
This is a completely unique place where you can meet granite and basalt rocks overgrown with black coral bushes, meet green iguanas, swim in the company of unique Galapagos penguins. And the luckiest ones will be able to watch the recently discovered species of starfish.
But the Galapagos are not at all suitable for novice divers, because for a successful dive here you need to know a thousand professional tricks, be able to navigate under water and determine the speed of the current.
Darwin and Wolf is the most stunning island where a professional diver can easily forget what century it is, because the past of our planet will be literally a few meters away from it. Watching frolicking whales and schools of hammerhead sharks can be an incomparable experience.
Malta
According to most divers, this is the most suitable place to dive in the Mediterranean. Despite the fact that the brightness of the underwater world of this island is significantly inferior, for example, to the coast of the Red Sea, the landscape that divers face when diving is completely unique. Underwater rocks, canyons and caves, small charming grottoes create a complete illusion of a mysterious underwater kingdom from children's fairy tales.
In addition, there is a whole cemetery of wrecks around Malta that belonged to different historical eras. Wooden Phoenician galleys quietly coexist with submarines of the last century, making Malta the world's best technical diving destination.
The British bomber shot down during the Second World War, located at a depth of 42 meters, and a British submarine, which sank at a depth of 53 meters, are very popular among techno divers.
