I think the watering is good, but when the hot peppers (approx. 3 cm candles) start to bear fruit, the shrub attacks an awful lot of flies and the leaves seem to dry out, but they are supple. Then black shoes are made on the stems and the fefka goes underground. Could it be that I live on the ground floor? That it would catch something from the grass around the house? I really don't know anymore.

I grow them normally - and without a problem ... ;-) "Little flies" - this could mean that your soil is wet - they are mourners whose larvae rostlin eat the roots of plants. It will help if you let the clay dry. It will also help if you stick a sliced ​​garlic clove into the soil (one to several - depending on the size of the pot). But you will certainly get rid of them if you disinfect the substrate beforehand (eg by heating to 100 ° C in an oven) - which, of course, does not work with a flower pot. Peppers need plenty of light and heat and nutrients (sometimes I fertilize).
