Be careful if there are more than 11 tilak or moles on the hand , especially on the right hand. Researchers say it could be a sign of skin cancer. Having more tilak in the right hand than in the body is a strong sign of skin cancer. According to the BBC , the survey was conducted on 3,000 people in the UK . The findings are published in the British Journal of Dermatology. Any abnormality in the mole can be a sign of cancer. Skin cancer can be detected from the number of moles in the body. Researchers at King's College London have been researching women for eight years. They gather information about their skin type , sesame and mole numbers. The researchers then studied 400 men and women with melanoma (a type of skin cancer). The results show that women who have more than seven moles on their right hand have a higher risk of skin cancer. People with more than 11 moles on their right hand and more than 100 moles all over their body have a much higher risk of melanoma. Simon Ribrio , a researcher at King's College, said that if the number of moles is high, it should be taken as an early warning. Dermatologist and research assistant Veronica Bataili said caution should be exercised if there are more moles and abnormalities in the body. It is necessary to go to a specialist quickly. Claire Knight, health and information manager at the Center for Cancer Research in the UK, says there is a need to know what is unusual for the skin. It is important to see a doctor if you have any skin changes , discoloration , moles or pain. However, melanoma can occur anywhere on the body , not just the hands. It also happens on the feet of men.
