Problems of overpopulation 1) Habitat problem: Almost every city in Bangladesh has more population than size. So there are housing problems. 2) Service problems: The administration has a huge problem in providing all the services of the city such as electricity , fuel , education , transportation , water , etc. for the extra population. 3) Pollution problem: As a result of continuous increase in population in cities, various types of pollution such as water , air, etc. are increasing. 4) Water supply: As a result of increasing the population of the city, there is a problem in supplying water for daily use. 5) Traffic problems: Due to the pressure of extra population, narrow roads are causing traffic jams. As a result, travel problems are appearing. 7) Vehicle problems: More vehicles and wide roads are needed to transport the extra population. 6) Problems of work: Problems of work are appearing in the cities as a result of increasing population pressure. Not every man gets a job according to his qualifications. 6) Increase in the price of the product: The demand for the product increases for the additional population and as a result the price of the product increases. 9) Increase in the size of the city: As the population of the city increases, its size increases due to the increase in housing. As a result, people are deprived of various civic amenities. 10) Increased pressure on educational institutions: As a result of overpopulation, competition in good educational institutions increases. As a result, many meritorious students do not get the opportunity to get admission in good educational institutions. 11) Political instability: If the government fails to meet the demands of the anti-government movement granade. The result was political instability. 12) Rising Unemployment: Unemployment increases as not enough new jobs are created for the additional population. 13. The standard of living is declining. In addition to the above problems, there are many other problems. Problems such as slum problems , health problems , illegal occupation of sidewalks , deterioration of law and order , various criminal organizations etc. occur.
