The Guide to Oxygen Sensors

1 Answer

Answer :

If you ever come across a person who tells you that the universe does not have enough oxygen left for everyone to breathe, challenge him or her with an oxygen sensor.

An oxygen sensor is an electronic device capable of measuring the proportion of oxygen within a given gas or liquid. This device was developed in the 1960s by Robert Bosch GmbH, a German technological corporation and was done under the supervision of Dr. Gunter Bauman.

The original oxygen sensor was produced with zirconia ceramic and platinum. In 1998, the planar-style oxygen sensor came out and replaced it. The newer oxygen sensor operates a lot faster than the original one, and responds faster as well, so it ended up facing out the original.

Oxygen sensors have various uses. Oxygen sensors are most commonly used to measure the concentration of oxygen of exhaust gas in automobiles and other kinds of vehicles. Oxygen sensors are also used by scientists to measure production or respiration of oxygen. If you’re going diving, then oxygen sensors can help tell you the measurement of the partial pressure of oxygen in your diving tanks. You will find that many oxygen sensors are utilized in oxygen analyzers. This is mainly used in medical devices and applications such as respirators, oxygen concentrators, and anesthesia monitors.

There are actually a lot of different ways of measuring oxygen, and oxygen sensors come in various forms as well. There’s the zirconia sensor, the wideband zirconia sensor, and the titania sensor. Many oxygen sensors are used in all cars in the United states, as well as in cars in other countries as well. Brand-wise, you have the Bosch 15370 oxygen sensor, the Bosch 15726 oxygen sensor, the Bosch 13021 sensor, the Bosch 13075 oxygen sensor, the Scion oxygen sensor, the Volkswagen oxygen sensor, Walker oxygen sensor, and Chevrolet oxygen sensor.
