What is incomplete manifestation ?

1 Answer

Answer :

When a pair of two organisms with opposite characteristics cross (cross) but in the first offspring (in F1 gen) the manifest phenotype fails to fully express and a trait is manifested between the two traits then it is called incomplete manifestation. The genes responsible for incomplete expression are called intermediate genes . Due to incomplete manifestations, Mendel's monohybrid cross ratio is 1: 2: 1 instead of 3: 1.
