The following three major issues are included in this surah: 1. Some more rules about the religious , tamaddunik , cultural and political life of Muslims. In this context, the rituals of Hajj are determined. Respect for Islamic symbols and the visitor to the Kaaba are commanded not to interfere in any way. The final limits of halal and haram are introduced in food and beverages. The imaginary prohibitions of the Jahili era were lifted. The People of the Book are allowed to eat and drink and marry their daughters. The rituals of ablution , bathing and tayammum are prescribed. Rebellion and anarchy were created and the punishment of theft and robbery was introduced. Alcohol and gambling are strictly forbidden. The expiation for breaking the oath is prescribed. Several more sections of the Testimony Act were introduced. 2. Advising Muslims. Now that the Muslims have become a ruling group, they have the ruling power in their hands. Many nations go astray due to its intoxication. The era of oppression was coming to an end and Muslims entered an era of more difficult trials than that. Therefore, by addressing them, they have been repeatedly advised to follow the principles of justice , fairness and balance. Avoid the attitudes and principles of the People of the Book before you. Be steadfast in your commitment to obey God and to obey His commands and laws. Do not suffer the same consequences as the Jews and Christians by transgressing its limits. Follow the Scripture to judge for yourselves. Avoid hypocritical principles. 3. Advising Jews and Christians. At this time the power of the Jews was diminished. Almost all the Jewish settlements in northern Arabia were under Muslim rule. In this situation, they were warned once again about the erroneous policy followed. They are invited to follow the right path. In addition, since the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah provided an opportunity to spread the message of Islam throughout Arabia and the surrounding countries, Christians were also widely informed of the fallacies of their faith and urged to believe in the last prophet. Neighboring countries where idol-worshiping and fire-worshiping nations lived were not directly addressed. For the guidance which had already been sent down to them in Makkah, addressing the polytheists of the Arabs who were like them, was sufficient for them.
