A student returning to Canada has died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital due to negligence of doctors and nurses on suspicion of corona virus. Nazma Amin, 24, died of gastrointestinal complications at noon on Saturday (March 14). Her family claimed that the patient had the corona virus — the young woman died because of the negligence of the doctors. Nazma was a graduate student at Regina University in Saskatchewan, Canada. He returned to Dhaka last Monday and told his family about his stomach ache. Her family members told the media that Nazma could not eat at all - she felt nauseous or had severe abdominal pain every time she tried to eat. He was rushed to a hospital near his home in Mohammadpur on Friday night. The hospital authorities then said he needed to be kept in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Then Dhamme was admitted. Regarding Nazma's treatment, father Amin Ullah said , ' His daughter was admitted to a ward in Dhamme. There was saline , oxygen assistance and medicine. But then at eight in the morning the nurses shift changed and a new batch of nurses arrived. Around 11:30 in the morning, a nurse asked Amin what had happened to Nazma. Describing the symptoms, Amin noted that the girl had recently arrived from Canada. This seemingly simple information made Nazma's situation worse. Mentioning Canada, Ward's nurses shouted , " She's from Canada! He also has a fever! ” Amin Ullah said the girl had corona virus and they rushed to the doctors. The whole ward was in chaos and doctors and nurses refused to come near the girl. As a result, he died at one stage due to lack of treatment. In the ward where the girl breathed her last , the media spoke to some of the staff. A ward boy said , ' Everyone was shocked when the staff heard that a corona virus patient had entered the ward . I was there too. I felt like my world was over. What if the girl infects me and I infect my family ? One nurse said , ' Everyone is scared for their lives. Even nurses. ' Professor of Surgery. ABM Jamal said , ' When the news of the arrival of the Canadian-returning girl was announced , the ward panicked. However, he added that the situation became normal after that. DMEC Director Brigadier General AKM Nasir Uddin said the staff on duty at the patient's ward did not have the virus protection system. They were worried that the corona virus might infect themselves by contact with the patient. He also had no corona virus test kit and could not even confirm if he had the virus. He added that the government's Institute of Pathology , Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) had been called to examine the girl's corona. From there the representative came and examined her body and found corona negative which means the girl is not infected with corona virus. Meanwhile, about an hour has passed without any observation of the patient. So the girl's condition deteriorated. The director of DMCH told the media that the issue of the girl was given utmost importance. According to hospital sources , a doctor came forward at around 12.30 pm , went to the patient wearing gloves and a mask. Push the antibiotic injection. Then it was too late. Nazma died shortly after the antibiotic was pushed. Dr. ABM Jamal said , ' We suspect he had a hole in his gut , which means there was a crack somewhere in his gut. When he was admitted , he lost a lot of body fluids and suffered from hypervilemic shock. That means the pulse was weak , the blood pressure was low , the body temperature was low , the breathing was getting louder.
