Fax and telex are two sophisticated means of communication. There are numbers in telephones and faxes. Telex is a type of teleprinter. It has a typewriter. The information , news or letter to be sent is to be typed in this typewriter. The telex then comes out typed in the number that is sent . A fax machine is attached to a telephone. The information that needs to be sent is typed or written down on a piece of paper. The paper is inserted into the machine by dialing the number to which the fax is to be sent. A similar copy comes out at the other end. Just like any text or picture can be copied in a photocopy machine , pictures , designs , maps etc. can also be sent by fax .
