Answer :

Vehicles cannot move easily due to excessive friction. As a result of friction between the moving parts of the machinery, they are eroded and torn. Any type of vehicle has to spend extra fuel to overcome the extra friction. Due to which friction results in wastage of fuel energy which emerges mainly as heat energy. Friction is not the only energy that is converted into heat. This causes the engine parts to overheat which can cause the engine to malfunction.
