Friction is a necessary nuisance. Apparently there is no need for friction. But without friction, an object would continue to move in the same unobstructed way. If there was no friction again, we would not be able to walk , we would slip. There were no nails or screws stuck to the wood. It would not be possible to give any giro on the rope. Something we couldn't hold back. In other words, if there was no friction, we would have faced various difficulties. So friction is a necessary nuisance.
