Did I kill my butterfly bush by moving it and pruning it late April because there is no regrowth

1 Answer

Answer :

I'm guessing you planted it too low meaning lower than it was previously. To tell if it is still alive take a pruning shears and cut one branch about six inches from the end.  If it is alive you should see a faint green layer between the the outside bark and the inside white woody plant material.  If it is truly dead then there will be no green layer.
