I planted my corn from seedlings. I have 12 plants in a **** barrell with ash and miricle grow for soil.

Ash is not the same as soil, they will do much better planted in the ground ever 9 inches.........maybe 3 or 4 rows..........they need to breathe.......corn needs old horsemanure mixed with some lime and real soil all mixed together and then plant the seeds.........sweet corn ph should be 5.5-7.5.........in full sun and watered well
