I'm guessing this is an outside plant and that it goes dormant each year. If that is correct then mother nature should take care of it as it is herbaecous and should be dying back. If it happens to be evergreen you could try cutting back a few stems. The height of the plant is determined by it's DNA. You may not be able to do anything about it. A little more sunlight might give you a bushier plant.
