we use dormant oil it smothers the bugs.................in the fall after the leaves drop,,,,,,,,,,,,then again start in the spring...............following the directions on the container.................once the bud opens only spray the trunk..................plant some flowers near the trees to draw the bees.  this is the best of the sprays.................
