It sounds like your dog may be experiencing separation anxiety. You can acclimate her to your leaving by stepping out for a few minutes, lengthening the time gradually each time you go out. Try leaving puzzle toys with treats in them scattered around the house. Leave the radio or TV on for company. Take her for a long walk before you leave .  Exercise can tire her enough to sleep most of the day. Remove the pillows and try not to leave anything chewable around the house.
