Small area with about 5 towns totaling about 4000 people. Going into the mountains for hiking, ATVing, and camping is pretty much the passtime here. Anyway, about 6 or 7 miles into the canyon nearby, there is a campground called Midway. Legend has it that a bunch of Native American babies dies in the river that runs right next to the campground. If you ever camp there, it's said that you can hear the crying babies and mourning mothers from time to time. I've camped there a few times and haven't heard anything, but I have heard many stories about it.
