There’s probably not a set definition, but what it makes me think of is whether: a) you have enough that you never have to work again, b) you have enough that you can make major purchases for cash, c) you have enough to live on for 3, 6, or 12 months without working, d) you have enough to raise a family [$11,000/kid/year estimated], or e) you can afford to buy liquor and throw parties for all if your friends on a regular basis. Another way to answer is do you have enough to fund the things you want to do/accomplish during your lifetime? Of course, money isn’t the only tool that can make these things happen.
