First- congrats on the twins, how exciting! The closest experience I’ve had to selling things online is eBay. The things I list are things I know will sell well, and are things I would buy myself. For instance, I once bought $50 dresses from Target designed by a guest designer. It was a highly publicized collection, I liked the designs, and I knew it would sell out quickly at the stores. I went to Target early on the release date and picked up a few dresses, listed them on eBay at a starting price of $10, and they ended up selling for about $200 each. I didn’t expect that much profit, and I highly doubt I’d come across an opportunity like that again, but it was a nice surprise. Other times, I focus on clothing as well. I find great deals at places like Loehmann’s, buy low, and sell higher on eBay. I don’t devote a lot of time to it at all, maybe two listings every three months, but what I do make in profit covers my cell phone bill and credit card payments.
