I love rice. My cousins are Japanese. Means nothing, but, when I cook up a pot of rice, the ratio is 2 to 1. That is, a simple sauce pan of, say two cups of water, brought to boil. Add your ONE cup of rice. a pad of margerine will prevent overflow etc. Simmer covered for about 15 minutes. ‘till all water is absorbed. You’re done. Simple. When people say to “Drain” rice. No way Hosea!! One should never drain rice. Nutrients are washed away when you do that. Rice is Nice. Can be better than potatoes / spuds. Also, a hefty snifter of some good ****** will help that pot of rice cook up, while you’re waiting. I know it helped Me to write this schtick!! 2 to 1 that’s the basic. Thank You Flutherr-group!!
