answer:Disagree. Fandom for a team must reach beyond a single player. If I told you that over the offseason, Mitch Kupchak will jettison Andrew Bynum, how would you feel about the Lakers then? You’d be proud, right? His actions were thuggish and immature, and they were an embarrassment to himself, his team, and the league. But I think it’s irrational and illogical to project his actions on to the organization that employs him. Secondly, it’s hard for me to respect the Dallas Mavericks when the face of their franchise, their owner Mark Cuban, acts like a boorish, classless clown all the time. The Dallas players might play well as a team (as opposed to the individualism of the Lakers), and are admirable in that vein. But as a basketball fan, I can’t get past Cuban and how classless I think he acts (again, on a regular basis).
