I would think labeling her or any other person that has gone through something similar as damaged goods or un-fixable would just reinforce that fallacy. I read her book and she seems very determined to live her life as normal as possible and to let her kids grow up as normal as possible. Of course they are going through counseling and may have to for life, but they need to be encouraged to go out and get jobs and be a part of society. If they get disability income, they may not feel the need to work.
