answer:Well, the purpose of education is to create well rounded individuals who will contribute to society. That means getting a job of some kind. This “How to test,” thing is a recent phenomenon, and of course it is self defeating, but it is also out of the teacher’s hands. When I was in school there was no particular emphasis on getting a college degree. I have one, and it has held me in good stead, just because it looks good on my resume. I’ve only had one job that actually utilized it, though.
