answer:I do notice it happening. I agree with you that it’s ridiculous. Battling to control your weight because you’re overweight is no more or less stressful than trying to put on weight because you’re too thin. It depends on how the comparison is used. So mental illness is less visible than some physical ailments but no less debilitating. I can see that’s a reasonable assertion. To suggest mental illness is more deserving of empathy is silly. I don’t know why people do this. I’ll be interested to read other people’s thoughts on this.
