Don’t go to Chinatown. It would be fun, but the food is mediocre. If you want really good Chinese food, go to either the Hong Kong Lounge 1 or Hong Kong Lounge 2 (they are different restaurants by the same owner, and they barely speak English when you call on the phone so be SURE you’re making reservations at the one you go to). But they’re father away from the Ferry building and you’d definitely have to Lyft there. For good Tapas, Thirsty Bear Brewing Company is good. Italian, my favorite place is Locanda. I hear it’s sister restaurant Delfina is good. I also hear Waterbar is good, and that’s closer to where you will be. If you can get a table, the Park Tavern on the edge of North Park is sensational. Good burgers and **** at Monk’s Kettle. This ought to get you started.
