There are a numerous HIV symptoms. The main symptoms are dry cough, fever, night sweats, rapid weight loss, fatigue, swollen lymph glands, diarrhea, headache, rash, sore throat, white spots on the tongue or inside the mouth, pneumonia and memory loss. Other common symptoms include depression, shortness of breath and pink, purple or reddish brown blotches on the on or under the skin. The signs or symptoms of HIV may not surface right away. Within the first few weeks, some people do not show any signs of the disease. If any of these symptoms are experienced, a doctor should be contacted immediately.
